Sri Lanka’s Squad for T20 World Cup 2024 Revealed
The Sri Lankan Cricket Board has announced their 15-member squad for the upcoming T20 World Cup 2024 to be hosted in the USA and West Indies.
Sri Lankan all-rounder Wanindu Hasaranga will lead the team into the event next month in June.
Hasaranga was named the team’s captain last year in December and he will be assisted by Charity Asalanka as he has been announced as the vice-captain of the team.
The team is filled with experienced players such as Angelo Mathews who returned to T20I cricket in January after being sidelined from the team for the last three years.
This will be Mathews’s sixth T20 World Cup and he was also part of the team that won the 2014 edition of the tournament.
