Sanju Samson, Shubhman Gill likely to miss the T20 World Cup 2024
Indian selectors are more likely to snub Sanju Samson and Shubhman Gill for the ICC T20 World Cup 2024, reports are suggesting.
The Indian Selection Committee will meet on April 30th, Tuesday to decide India’s squad for the World Cup in June, and Samson who has been in excellent form in the Indian Premier League is most likely to not be selected as the selectors are in search of a player who can bat in the lower order.
Dhruv Jurel and Jitesh Sharma are in favor of including Samson in the squad and do not want KL Rahul in the team traveling to the US and the West Indies.
The final decision will be made on Tuesday when the selection committee members will meet up with the coach and captain of the Indian Team.

Rohit Sharma will join the conference through video call as his Mumbai Indians will take on KL Rahul’s Lucknow Super Giants.
It is no secret that Rishabh Pant has been the biggest Indian wicket-keeper in the IPL and his chances of making it to the final 15 or 16 are much higher than KL Rahul and Sanju Samson despite them scoring exceptionally and being in form in the league.
As for Shubhman Gill, the selectors are not ready to give him a place in the final squad.
The World Cup will start on June 1st hosted by the US and the West Indies with the first match scheduled in the States.
