Maia Bouchier wants to help England in winning the T20 World Cup
Maia Bouchier, was 10 years old when England last lifted the trophy in 2009 at Lord’s.
Bouchier said that winning the World Cup would be an amazing accomplishment for England and it is important for England they prove themselves as the best in the world.
Bouchier was part of the England team when they won against New Zealand by 4-1. She was the top scorer as she scored 223 in the series back in March 2024 while batting as an opener.
Bouchier said that she had to be patient to have that opportunity at the top of the order and that she has worked hard on her mental game. Now all she wants to do is contribute to her team and win matches.

Bouchier was talking at the MCC’s Foundation Hubs tournament that sees 100 boys and girls fight for a chance in a competition to play at the Lord’s.
England’s Women’s Team played just one game at the historic and monumental cricket ground between the years 2014-2022; their ODI World Cup win in 2017 at Lord’s.
She was stunned by the realization that England’s Women’s Team wasn’t playing at Lord’s even five years ago.
She believes that the kids would be ecstatic to play at Lord’s as it is the home of cricket and it is a dream of every cricketer to play there.
She said that she was excited about the opportunities the young players were going to have.
The Women’s T20 World Cup is set to start in Bangladesh in September 2024.
