England captain, Jos Buttler thrilled by Jofra Archer’s return
England skipper Jos Buttler is buzzing about the return of star fast bowler Jofra Archer.
Archer is back in the fold for both the upcoming T20 series against Pakistan and the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 defense.
While Archer hasn’t played international cricket in over a year, he showcased his fitness and pace in a recent county match.
Despite the injury layoff, he’s been selected for both the Pakistan series starting this Wednesday and the World Cup.
Buttler expressed his excitement to have Archer back in the squad saying that it is a massive boost to see him back and ready to play and everyone knows his talent and winning mentality. Buttler called Archer a captain’s dream and someone who always has something special to offer

Though the captain is excited to have the pacer back he understands that Archer has been out of the game for a while and will need time to recapture his 2019 form and for that, the skipper agrees that they will need to manage him carefully.
Archer’s return could be a game-changer for Buttler and coach Matthew Mott as they aim to retain the T20 World Cup trophy. England will begin their title defense against Scotland on June 4th.
England is grouped with Australia, Scotland, Namibia, and Oman in Group B of the T20 World Cup 2024.
