Gary Kirsten is aiming high for Pakistan stint at the T20 World Cup 2024
Pakistan’s cricket team’s new head coach, Gary Kirsten, who has been appointed ahead of the T20 World Cup 2024 in June, is aiming high and is determined to help his team win the tournament.
Kirsten has been appointed for two years and in those two years Pakistan will play the T20 World Cups in 2024 and 2026 and the ICC Champions Trophy in 2025 will be hosted by Pakistan.
Talking on the PCB Podcast, Kirsten deemed that winning any one of the three upcoming ICC events will be a huge achievement for the team and it is his job to make sure that the team plays and gives its best so that they have a good chance at winning any of the trophies.

The newly appointed head coach who is set to join the team before the Ireland and England tour said that he believes and is a fan of consistency and gives time to the process to make it work. He said that there are really talented players on the team and they are sure to give good results which every team is looking for.
He said that he understands the challenges and accepts that winning an ICC tournament is not an easy task. He added that it is important for him to understand where the team stands and what we want to achieve.
There is no way you can guarantee a trophy win but you can surely put necessary measures to help you get there and win the trophy and that is what he aims to do.
He knows and believes that Pakistan has a good track in World Cup performances and it is all a matter of taking the side over the winning cross.
The T20 World Cup is set to take place in the United States of America and the West Indies with the first match taking place in the States on June 1 between US and Canada.
