He opted to exclude spinner Usama Mir and replaced him with fast-bowling all-rounder Aamer Jamal. He also said that Pakistan will have several spinners, and they can choose from Imad Wasim, Shadab Khan, Abrar Ahmed, and all-rounders Iftikhar Ahmed and Saim Ayub.
His inclusion of Jamal in the squad is based on “if Pakistan will require a pacer that is also an all-rounder.”
He concluded by saying Muhammad Haris is a reliable player to scores quick and fast runs, and he won’t waste balls or time in the power play and will attack with full intent from the first ball of the innings.
Pakistan’s first match in the World Cup will be against the first-timer hosts USA on June 6th.
