KARACHI KING IS READY WITH A NEW SQUAD FOR PSL 9

Karachi Kings Full Squad, Schedule: After missing the playoffs, the previous two seasons, and winning their first PSL championship in 2020, the Kings are determined to establish dominance and satisfy their loyal fan base.

The Karachi franchise, which was the costliest till 2017 (before Multan Sultans) in the competition, was sold to the ARY Media Group for US$26 million over ten years. In last year’s PSL, the Karachi Kings were fifth on the points table. They played a total of 10 matches, of which they won only 3 matches. In PSL 8, Karachi could not set even a normal rhythm.

Imad Wasim was the captain of Karachi Kings back in 2023 and now they entered PSL 9 with a well-rounded team with exceptional experience and talent. Their batting is secured by the technically sound Shaan Masood, who will also be the new captain of the team. Shan Masood played for Multan Sultan in the last season of HBL PSL.

The aggressive James Vince, and the versatile Shoaib Malik. Youngsters like Irrfan Khan Niazi and Mohammad Amir Khan add firepower, while Leus du Plu brings international experience.

The overall department is perfectly stacked with powerful players like Kieron Pollard and the always-reliable Mohammad Nawaz. Daniel Sams brings pace and batting depth, while Anwar Ali and emerging Arafat Minhas will offer their experience.

Their bowling attack is led by PSL’s leading wicket-taker Hasan Ali and leading world T20 player Tabriz Shamsi. Left-arm specialist Mir Hamza and pace options like Mohammad Akhlaq, Sirajuddin, Jamie Overton, and Zahid Mahmood provide variety. This balanced squad looks balanced for a strong showing in PSL 9.

In short, James Vince, Hassan Ali, Shan Masood (C), Shoaib Malik, Tabraiz Shamsi, Mir Hamza, Muhammad Akhlaq, Irfan Khan, Mohammad Nawaz, Kieron Pollard, Daniel Sams, Tim Seifert, Mohammad Amir Khan, Anwar Ali, Arafat Minhas, Sirajuddin, Saad Baig, Jamie Overton, Zahid Mehmood (partial replacement for Zahid Mehmood), Leus du Plooy, and Mohammad Rohid will be in the Karachi Kings new squad for the upcoming PSL.

This amazing squad is technically a mixture of experienced players as well as emerging players. They both mix and form a really strong team. Karachi fans are hoping to see the victories of this team in this upcoming PSL season 9.
