MUHAMMAD NAWAZ ON IMAD WASIM’S RETIREMENT
MUHAMMAD NAWAZ: In response to whether he considers it lucky that Imad has stepped down from international cricket, Nawaz openly shared his views on the shifting perceptions of athletes.
When asked if he feels lucky that Imad has given up playing cricket, Nawaz honestly shared his views on the shifting perceptions of athletes. He said it is just about the current point of view, when a player plays good cricket outside of the national team, people want to add that player to the national team and when that player doesn’t play well in some matches the same people want them out. So, it’s not a big deal.
“The public often appreciates players who are not on the squad, and when the same player joins the team but struggles to perform in one or two games, the public’s opinion of him fades away,” Nawaz said.
