ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024: All Teams, Full Schedule, Host And Venues

The ninth edition of T20 World Cup 2024 will be held this year in the West Indies and USA in the month of June, twenty teams will be part of this tournament, which have been divided into four groups of five.

The ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024, the most esteemed tournament in T20 cricket, will have 20 teams competing for the title. Divided into four groups, these teams will play 55 matches, all aiming to be crowned champions. the West Indies and the USA will serve as co-hosts, alongside other qualified teams: Afghanistan, Australia, Bangladesh, Canada, England, India, Ireland, Namibia, Nepal, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Oman, Pakistan, Papua New Guinea (PNG), Scotland, South Africa, Sri Lanka and Uganda.

Both the host teams will play the first two matches of the tournament on June 1 and June 2. The USA will take on Canada in the first match of the T20 World Cup at the Prairie Cricket Stadium in Dallas on Saturday, June 1, while the West End will open their campaign against Papua New Guinea at the Guyana Cricket Stadium on Sunday, June 2.

Uganda, as first-time qualifiers, are set to make their debut in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup as they face Afghanistan in Guyana on Monday, 3 June. Similarly, Nepal, who have qualified for the T20 World Cup for the first time since 2014, will commence their campaign against Sri Lanka in one of the four matches scheduled to be held at Broward County Stadium in Lauderhill, Florida.

The highly anticipated match between cricket rivals India and Pakistan will take place on Sunday, 9 June in the prestigious city of New York. This exhilarating fixture will be held at a state-of-the-art 34,000-seat modular stadium, situated a mere 30 miles away from the heart of Manhattan in Nassau County, New York. Throughout this prestigious venue, a total of eight matches will be played.

England, the defending champions, are set to commence their quest to retain the title on Tuesday 4 June in Barbados. Their first match will be against Scotland. On the other hand, Pakistan, the finalists of 2022, will kick off their campaign on Thursday 6 June in Dallas, where they will face the USA.

All the teams will compete in four matches of their group in the first stage of the tournament, then the top 2 teams of each group will go to the Super 8 in the second stage of the tournament, where they will be divided into 2 groups.

Super Eight matches are scheduled to be played in popular Caribbean tourist destinations Antigua and Barbuda, Barbados, Saint Lucia, and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.

The top two teams from each group of the Super Eight will advance to the semi-finals, the semi-finals of the Super Eight will take place in Guyana and Trinidad and Tobago on Wednesday 26 and Thursday 27 June respectively. The final match will be held at the Kensington Oval in Barbados on Saturday 29 June.
