The first T20I scheduled for May 22 was to be played at the Headingley Cricket Ground, Leeds but was abandoned due to rain without a toss.
This match and series are important for Pakistan and England as it is their last outing before the T20 World Cup begins in June in the USA and West Indies.
The teams are not going to play any of the ICC-scheduled warm-up matches before the tournament.
It is still better for Pakistan as the team has played back-to-back series against New Zealand at home and Ireland on Irish soil.

We have established that the teams won’t play any warm-up games before the World Cup so this is important for them that they play this match and the remaining matches to get in tune.
And Pakistan is yet to announce their T20 World Cup squad. They had to announce the squad after the first T20I after observing the players. It is important that the series goes on without any further obstacles and that Pakistan announce their squad by May 25th, which is the match day and the deadline given by the International Cricket Council (ICC) to reveal and finalize squads.
