Johan Botha becomes coach of Brisbane Heat and Queenslands
Former South African captain, Johan Botha, has been named as the head coach of Big Bash League’s champions Brisbane Heat and Queensland for the next three years.
Wase Seccombe previously coached the Heats.
Johan Botha has represented the South African team in 123 matches in his career. After retiring from the national team, he moved to Australia and became the captain of the South
Australia and Adelaide Strikers. He also played for the Sydney Sixers and Hobart Hurricanes.
Joe Dawes, general manager of Queensland has said that Johan is a fiercely motivated and determined person and has consistently displayed those traits during his playing and coaching career.

He called Johan being at the cutting edge of the game internationally and that he will bring a fresh and dynamic outlook to the team, especially the Bulls and championship Brisbane Heat squads.
Botha has expressed his readiness and excitement to coach the team saying that he looks forward to it and can’t wait to go through this exciting challenge.
Botha concluded that the Bulls have strong ties to success and winning and he has no doubts about the competitive playing group this summer.
He concluded that he and his family are looking forward to moving to Queensland for this new adventure
