Uganda Cricket has announced their squad for the T20 World Cup 2024
Uganda Cricket has announced their squad for the T20 World Cup 2024 starting next month to be hosted by West Indies and USA.
The Ugandan Cricket Team is grouped with West Indies, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, and Afghanistan in Group C.
Brian Masaba, the captain, will be aided by vice-captain Riazat Ali Shah during the tournament.
Frank Nsubuga, the 43-year-old veteran, is also part of the squad announced.
Nsubuga has been a brick for Uganda cricket, debuting in 1999 at just 17 years old and representing the country at the 1999 Cricket World Cup.

The team has other names that are spectacular players one of them is Alpesh Ramjani, who was also nominated for the ICC Men’s T20 Cricketer of the Year award in 2023.
Ramjani also was the bowler with the most T20i wickets last year with 55 wickets.
Another player is in the squad who took 49 wickets in the 2023 cricket season of T20Is.
Uganda will meet against Afghanistan on June 4th at Providence Stadium.

Brian Masaba (c), Simon Ssesazi, Roger Mukasa, Cosmas Kyewuta, Dinesh Nakrani, Fred Achelam, Kenneth Waiswa, Alpesh Ramjani, Frank Nsubuga, Henry Ssenyondo, Bilal Hassan, Robinson Obuya, Riazat Ali Shah (vc), Juma Miyaji, Ronak Patel.
Travelling Reserves: Innocent Mwebaze, Ronald Lutaaya
The International Cricket Council has given 25th May as the deadline for boards of the participating teams to submit their final squads for the T20 World Cup and no changes can be made to the squads after the deadline without the approval of the ICC.
