PSL 10: According to insider reports, the Pakistan Cricket Board has proposed the Rawalpindi Stadium as a venue for the opening match and ceremony of the 10th edition of the Pakistan Super League.

A PSL franchise owner attended a meeting and they revealed the proposals with The News International.
They have said that the Pindi Stadium will most likely host the opening ceremony and the opening match after it and the teams participating would likely be Peshawar Zalmi and Islamabad United.
Pindi Stadium is IU’s home ground as the Arbab Niazi ground in Islamabad is still not complete. The source has said that due to the non-completion of the stadium, the tournament will only be held in four venues again.
The franchise owner also revealed that the PCB is bringing up ways to make the 10th edition of the league more innovative and they are trying to bring big names of the cricket world to the tournament. The players are going to be those who will not be hired by the Indian Premier League which is scheduled for the same window next year or those players just don’t want to participate in the league.
It was earlier reported that the PCB is also bringing forward a neutral venue for the league and it will be in England.
The move is set to bring unprecedented popularity to PSL.
Also, after the commencement and wrap-up of PSL10, the PCB will have the option of bringing two more franchises into the fold.
It has also been revealed that the PCB is making plans to conduct the league on six venues by 2026 and onward.
The owner concluded that there are more exciting revelations about the league that will surely be told to the public in the coming months.
The PSL is set to start in the April-May window next year to save it from clashing with the ICC Men’s Champions Trophy 2025 which will be hosted by Pakistan next year.
The ICC event will be the first event in 36 years that will be hosted by Pakistan. It was back in 1996 that the country hosted the ODI World Cup.
