Muhammad Rizwan is much likely to be ruled out of Ireland, England series
Pakistan’s wicketkeeper-batsman Muhammad Rizwan is much likely to be ruled out of the Ireland-England series
Rizwan pulled his hamstring during the third T20i against New Zealand in Rawalpindi while batting. He was not even a part of the practice session held on Tuesday ahead of the Lahore leg of the New Zealand vs Pakistan T20 series.
The medical staff at Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) had received his reports and his injury seemed to be serious so the reports were consulted with UK professionals for opinions.
It is being reported that the injuries could require a rest of two to four weeks to heal. This development is causing a conflict with him being available and fit for the upcoming tours of Ireland and England.

Rizwan had scored 45 runs in the second T20 of the series making Pakistan’s victory over New Zealand a bit more easier. Pakistan had restricted the Kiwis to 90 runs and chased it easily in 12.3 overs at the loss of 2 wickets.
The T20 World Cup Is also around the corner and Rizwan is an integral part of the Pakistan Cricket Team without whom the team becomes unbalanced. It is important for the squad that Rizwan gets better in time for the ICC event to start on June 6th.
Pakistan has received another blow with Irfan Khan being injured for the series as well. This is the third player that has been dropped or rested so far during the New Zealand series. The first is Azam Khan.
With Rizwan being out of the remaining matches for the New Zealand series, Usman Khan is set to take his place in the remaining two matches.
