IPL’s Delhi Capitals receive a huge blow in the form of the absence of their key all-rounder

IPL’s Delhi Capitals receive a huge blow, Mitchell Marsh has been ruled out of IPL due to a hamstring injury after he got a tear in his right hamstring in the tournament while playing against Mumbai Indians and went back to Australia on April 7th for treatment.

On April 22nd, news came in that he had been completely pulled out of the Indian Premier League because he was unable to recover and Cricket Australia needed their captain to be well-rested and recover from injuries.

Now Ricky Ponting’s Delhi Capitals will be without their key player. “I don’t think he’ll be coming back. There’s a certain cut-off point with replacement players. Cricket Australia were keen to have him at home to start his recovery process and we sent him back as soon as we could,” Ponting said.

“They’ve been managing his rehab for a couple of weeks now. I spoke to him the other day and it seems it’s taken a little longer than he first thought to get over it. I don’t think the T20 World Cup would be an issue.”
